Extended Stay America Suites- Richmond - W. Broad Street - Glenside - South

⭐ 1 Star – So Bad I Couldn’t Stay After traveling 14 hours and arriving around 11:00 PM, I was expecting nothing more than a clean, safe place to rest. Instead, I walked into a disgusting and completely misleading property. The first room was horrific—old, outdated furniture, a microwave sitting on a table, warped wood, stained blankets, and a bathroom that was filthy and unsanitary. The carpet looked original, as if it had never been replaced since the hotel opened. The photos online are extremely deceptive. They must have been taken when the hotel first opened because the current condition looks nothing like what is advertised. Adding a few items does not hide years of neglect. Even the cement outside appeared never to have been power-washed, and the front lobby itself was dirty. The

Filthy room. Roach infested. We left immediately after we saw the first roach. About 90 minutes. We felt dirty all over. Nastiest place I’ve ever stayed. Everything else was booked in the area So we gave this place a shot. I ended up leaving and just buying an air mattress and sleeping in my office.

Positive: Was clean room and comfortable linens Negative: Roach motel...extended stay with NO utensils in room. People with beer in hand hanging over 3rd floor waving me up to their room. Another couple came to parking lot hanging as was parking and going to my room. Lots of arguing people outside til 0200.

I’ve stayed at other Extended Stay America locations before, but this experience at the South Richmond (W. Broad St/Glenside) property was appalling. The moment we checked in, my family and I felt uncomfortable. The room was dirty, the floor hadn’t been cleaned, the bathroom ventilation didn’t work, and the kitchenette slow cooker was broken. We had to clean the space ourselves to feel remotely comfortable a terrible first impression.||||The worst part came during checkout. I had extended our stay to transition to another location (North facility), but the front desk team at South—Shuiab and Lida, during the noon shift, were shockingly unprofessional. They told my wife, who had just given birth, that if she didn’t leave the room by 12:00pm, they would call the police. Absolutely no empathy

Currently staying here and have been for awhile due to not so great circumstances that brought me to Virginia initially. The staff here have been more than accommodating and eager to help. The rates are more than reasonable. Im a very happy customer!
