Extended Stay America Suites- Detroit - Ann Arbor - Briarwood Mall

Ive lived for almost a year and have seen the hotel go thru a ton have changes all for the better. Management is really trying to make up dates and clean the place up. Justin at the front desk is a great addition to the team and always goes above and beyond. And is great addition to the hotels turn around. In general Definitely not the fanciest hotel but great bargain for ann arbor and I trust the changes will happen soon.

This was the most horrific hotel I have ever stayed in>. DO NOT stay here. The price was inexpensive but the place smelled like urine. Never did anyone change our linens or towels in four days…had to take our towels to the lobby to exchange for clean ones. The place is just gross. Don’t walk on the carpets without shoes on….my socks were filthy….one roll of tp…had to ask for another…i really cant express how awful this hotel is…there are sooooo many other options…will never stay with this chain again.

Positive: Nothing Negative: It was dirty. They sent us to a room that wasn’t clean then they gave us another room and it was worse than the first one.

I don't leave reviews often, so this is how you should know it was bad. This was a complete 0/10 experience. Dropped several hundred dollars to stay here the night of the Zach Bryan concert and the entire experience was disturbing. We reserved a 2 queen room. We checked in right at our check-in time at 3:00. Upon checking in, we were told they could only give us a 1 bed room as they had overbooked the 2 beds. I felt like I was doing the Seinfeld "Do you understand how reservations work?" bit. This put us and the other couple we were travelling with in an impossible situation. There was nowhere else to stay around the stadium. Eventually we agreed we'd try to make the arrangement work. I was told by hotel staff I'd be compensated the difference, but I have not seen that yet. We then walke

Its been a long time since Ive written a 1 star review for anything and this hotel does not even deserve that. The place, however, does deserve better management. Had a 3 week reservation and when I showed up to check in there was no one at the desk. A number of people were already waiting 30+ mins with no one showing up. The housekeeping staff tried to be helpful but they also did not know what was going on except the guy working the desk had to leave. I get it, life happens, but the problem with management is there was no back up. No one could help. Not a good sign when you run a hotel of this size. We all waited another hour during which time I canceled my reservation and took my business elsewhere.
