Extended Stay America Suites- Chicago - Gurnee

I was going through a rough spot after we went through a house fire that took our cars and everything except some clothes. I needed a break from living here since November 5, 2025 with my wife and 2 daughters. The nice young lady at the desk who’s name is Rain. This girl was sympathetic and listened to my situation. She made me feel better and helped me find a great deal on a room in the same hotel so I can get some sleep to get to work in the morning. Rain and the rest of the staff here at Extended Stay/ Gurnee were very understanding and accommodating.

I’ve been staying here for an extended period of time and I can honestly say it has been a wonderful experience. The staff are always friendly, professional, and willing to go out of their way to help. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which has made it feel more like a home than just a hotel.||What I appreciate most is the convenience—everything I’ve needed has been right here, from laundry facilities to a well-equipped kitchenette. The location is safe and easy to get around from, and I’ve felt comfortable and welcomed during my entire stay.||If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, value, and great service, I highly recommend this extended stay. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area!

Title: Worst hotel experience — filthy, unsafe, and poorly managed. Do NOT stay. I paid over $100/night and got shockingly awful conditions. My room had cockroaches and smelled of smoke. Housekeeping was nonexistent — trash left in hallways, stained sheets, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The front-desk and staff were unhelpful and, frankly, unprofessional. One employee with bright green hair was rude and dismissive when I asked for help with luggage. Another staff member couldn’t communicate in English and offered no assistance. A third looked and acted like they didn’t care — dirty uniform, no urgency, no customer service at all. I asked for a cart and the hotel cart had flat tires and barely worked. This location appears to be being used as temporary

#1 The front desk young lady Renier is very helpful no matter when or what she is in the middle of she always willing to help with a smile on her face very personable and nice I love her I would have to give her 10 stars * and if I could give her more I would! Now the day and weekend day young lady her name is Lopi she is not very friendly and acts like you are bothering her! #2 Sean the maintenance man works his tail off very good and helpful I would give him10*stars as well # 3 Now I know Mgr Ms Toni is leaving us and it saddens me a lot!
