Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Gurnee, IL

All staff were very pleasant. The hotel itself was nice and quiet. The room was clean we liked that it has a fridge and a microwave. The swimming pool was enough so that my granddaughter enjoyed herself. I do have two things to mention, in the room near the bathroom we found what appeared to be a roach which we killed and then in the bathtub itself, it didn’t appear to have any plug so that you can actually have a bath perhaps I just didn’t know how to plug the bath up.

My issue is with booking this hotel because of having a pool only to find out pool is under maintenance for the next few months. Very disappointing for the birthday kids. Also the TV was not a smart TV. I woke up to Very profane language and yelling. Woke up my 1 year old. Then Marijuana smells coming into my room. Towels were dirty. The room was decent. Location was good however I will not be coming back. I did reach out to Priceline.com they contacted the hotel which then I was offered a 20% discount. I don't think it was nearly enough but it was something.

We were in Chicago for my son’s graduation from Navy bootcamp. We booked a different hotel for the trip originally. That hotel did not have the accommodations we requested. We stayed at that hotel the first night while trying to find other accommodations for the remaining 2 nights. We found Country Inn & Suites by Radisson and couldn’t have been more happy with the change. They were so kind to let us check in early after my son’s graduation - even without an early check in fee. The hotel smelled wonderful and clean. Rooms were nice - and again clean and smelled wonderful. Free breakfast was pretty good. Easy to get extra towels needed. It was under a bit of construction but you wouldn’t never know it. The owners did a wonderful job of making the stay pleasant. For the price this was

Service was kind, rooms were great value for the money, everything was very close by. Nice selection of easy breakfast items. Only issue for us personally was the TV in the room, although it wasn't bad - just a little old. It was our second time staying here and we'll most likely be back.

We have stayed at this location Quite a few times. This stay was Not that great. We had dirty/ torn Sheets & blankets on our beds. Cold breakfast choices and Cold coffee offered. Other things We liked. The handicap accessories room was nice, and we Like the location as it is close to Our family we visit there several times a year. We also just Activated a Choice Mastercard & Has already been compromised. So we maybe finding somewhere else next time. I know it is very Difficult to find keep good help And it was a holiday week but We were disappointed with our Stay this time.
