Comfort Inn Gurnee near Six Flags

I stay here at least once every other month for a year now. The staff are always attentive and friendly. My room has always been clean and comfortable. The hot tub is relaxing and clean. The breakfast is not great, but they do have a lot of options.

Positive: The pool and hot tub were decent Negative: The host sat on the couch in the lobby with her shoes off. The tv in our room had a huge line down the middle. One of our rooms the toilet didn’t flush properly. The shower faucet head did not function properly.

This location is very nice I’m in love with all that’s near. I get to grab a bite and so some shopping. I love the environment in here and how the rooms are so cozy. The manager , Jay, makes sure to check in consistently check in to see if my stay is going well or if anything’s been upsetting, to let him know, and he’ll take care of it until happily satisfied with my stay. Paid for the executive suite and the room was not cleaned at all, there was hair on the bed and under the sheets along with poop stains on the mattress. There was toilet paper stuffed in the peep hole and food wrappers stuffed under the couch along with some food on the floor. It says 100% smoke free but the whole building smells like marijuana from the front desk all the way to the 3rd floor we're my room was. I obviously did not stay and checked out right away.

Very few things I can say about this hotel and my experience on it. But I can say, checking in was easy, the rooms were clean and the hotel itself was fairly quiet. Bed was nice and comfortable, it was very clean as well. Staff working there were nice and helpful, the reason why I didnt give it a 5 star is mostly due to the fact that the bathroom was a bit dirty but manageable, and by manageable I mean something that didnt gross me out or give me any disgust or discomfort. Also the fact that the complimentary shampoo and conditioner were not filled which isn't such a big deal.
