Extended Stay America Select Suites- Atlanta - Marietta - Windy Hill

Positive: The location. Thats it ! Negative: There was nasty furniture in there. Old 70s looking furnishings. Stains in the chair. i couldn't wait to leave. Young people hanging around the exit and parking lot smoking weed. The lobby smelled like weed. Instant turn off.

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT..... This Extended Stay on WINDY HILL is top down the best out of them all in Marietta. I've only stayed in 4 others and none compared to WINDY HILL. Being blatant as possible, My expectations where low as my knee and I judged from the outside in the first time I checked in. I told myself that all extended stay hotels are the same. Boy was I wrong. The way life life challenges us at times, a short term situation can be longer than expected. That's my life currently in a nut shell. Which leads me to let you know, I've been here for 3 months now and really don't have too many bad things to say about this location at all. Now I am SURE companies pay for industry people to drive up their ratings. I booked through Hotwire who gave it high ratings. Being a road warrior for work for 30+ years #Hotwire had never disappointed me me for the last 15 years or so until now. Ill definitely do my homework on #TripAdvisor & other reliable rating sites from here on. The halways were filthy, as was the room carpet. I got the impression from the staff notes taped on the elevator doors regarding the trash in the hallways that people had taken up long term residency there. There are no coffee makers in the room, nor lobby. I did not feel safe. The room door had been sawed on and didn't lock properly. A chair up against the door & a towel along the bottom. The bed was bug free and comfortable. The bathroom was fairly clean

My experience at the windy hill extended stay was nothing short of amazing. The front desk worker Brian was very inviting and assisted me with anything I needed. Brian also gave me recommendations on nearby restaurants and things to do as I was coming from out of town. I stayed in room 135. The room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. I really enjoyed the professionalism from the staff and my stay as a whole.
