Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Harrisonburg

My wife and I have stayed a this hotel multiple times. My employees as well during the snow to be closer to jobs. Never a bad experience. Comfortable beds with fluffy and firm pillows. Spacious shower with great water pressure and hot water. Clean linens and toiletries. There aren’t any amenities in the studio room, you have to ask for at the desk but that suited me well, the room and counters weren’t cluttered with things I wouldn’t use. Sometimes we stayed for a length of time and used the laundry facilities, reasonable prices and laundry supplies in stock. Coffee was always available and my wife loves the fig and granola bars available for an on the go breakfast and the different flavor coffee creamers on hand. Not what I expected, the only reason I picked this hotel is because I needed a full refrigerator with freezer and based on the few reviews and it was a newer hotel I booked it. That was the only good thing about this hotel. Rooms are small, floor was filthy. I only know that because I spilled water on the floor and went to wipe it up and I couldn't believe just how dirty it was. It doesn't take much to mop the floor after each stay. Clearly it was never done. It was a mini efficiency with absolutely nothing to accommodate it, no dishes, forks, pots, paper towels or dish detergent. I was told if I needed anything to ask at the front desk. I'm assuming theft is an issue. It also had a take and go style breakfast. Well let's just say it was embarrassing to even call it that. Positive: We had a small hiccup with our room, AC wasn?t working. The assistant GM immediately addressed situation-finding another room within minutes and personally ensured AC worked and we were satisfied with new room, which even had more space. Negative: Only downside was need for additional handicapped parking spaces- and appropriate parking for extra-large vehicles (other guests).

Disappointment after disappointment, with disgust mixed in - read to the end! We were given the wrong room type even after confirming it upon checking in. This resulted in 3 trips back and forth between rooms and check in desk. Absolutely exhausted at this point after 11 hours on the road, we slowly realize as we settle in that the “correct” room has: * hair in the bathtub * hair on the sheets * sheets that are barely on the bed * a broken shower curtain bar hanging at such an off angle that the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed * a dripping bathtub faucet * a sink faucet handle that literally comes off in your hand when you try to turn the faucet on. * A free COCKROACH in the fridge (see photos). “Breakfast” was a joke and not at all what I was expecting when choosing a location that in

THEY DO NOT CLEAN THE ROOMS/BATHROOMS!!! Other reviews must be bought because this hotel is disgusting. They even switched our room because we complained about it not being cleaned, and the second room was just as dirty. The bathtub had hair all over it. The toilet wasn’t wiped down. The bedding and pillows weren’t changed because there was hair throughout. You could tell it wasn’t wiped down anywhere because of all the hair and food particles. Both rooms were like this. We tried to get some sort of refund because this was truly an awful, disgusting experience, but hotel didn’t even want to speak with us.
