Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Cleveland - Independence

This has to be one of the worst places I have been. They charged me $30 a day per dog for a “cleaning fee.” We didn’t have anyone come in our room to clean the entire time we stayed. We had to take our own trash out, clean our room, sweep, mop, make our bed and change our own bedding! We have to go downstairs for towels and the sheets as needed while we return our dirty linen into a garbage can they have downstairs. Front counter person is no where to be found. General Manager sits out in the front lobby and doesn’t assist us while we wait in line at the counter for assistance. I had a plumbing issue and when no one but her was around I asked her for a plunger, she looked at me and just continued on with her personal phone conversation. Positive: The bed was comfortable and room was clean Negative: The hotel is noisy because there are several families there with children who run around. No issues for me but maybe others. They do not have any real breakfast as advertised.

We stayed at Extended Stay America Premier Suites in Independence, OH, and sadly, the experience didn’t match the branding or the price. The room was clean, which we appreciated. However, the door hinge was broken—we had to physically lift and push it closed every time. We reported it, but it was never addressed. No washcloths were provided, which felt like a basic oversight. Only one elevator was working, so wait times were frustrating—often 10 minutes or more. We ended up using the stairs most of the time (thankfully we were only on the third floor), but this would be a real issue for guests with mobility concerns. Do not stay here. It felt like a ghetto motel. 1. Not clean 2. No breakfast 3. No pool 4. Possibly unsafe From the moment we arrived, the property appeared poorly maintained. There was trash in the parking lot, the entry mat and door handles were dirty, and the hallway trash can was overflowing. The hallway also smelled strongly of marijuana, which was especially concerning in a setting meant to support rest and recovery. Inside our room, while the bedding and the inside of the refrigerator appeared clean, the outside of the fridge was dirty, and the door hardware looked as though it might have been damaged or tampered with. The toilet seat was cracked, tissue had been stuffed into the bathroom fan, the sink handle came off in our hands, and there was no stopper for the tub. Altogether,

Been staying here for a month now and still have one more month to go. The stay is fine if you don’t mind thin walls and hearing other people scream at their kids all day. Breakfast only has a couple muffins and granola bar maybe yogurt if you get there fast enough. They don’t clean your room weekly like they are supposed to. I called and asked for them to clean my room today because they haven’t and was told it’s an extra charge… then I come back after being gone all day and my room still wasn’t cleaned. I stripped the bed and took out the dirty towels before I left. Come back still no bedding or clean towels though they picked up the dirty ones. Thanks.
