Comfort Inn Independence - Cleveland

The room was outdated and had an odor. We bought our own air freshener. The bathroom towel rack missing, walls & ceiling dirty. Tub rusty and leaking. The lamp shades are all cracked and dirty. There was no internet service most of the time. The breakfast was average. The front desk staff was nice. Definitely needs remodeling. The bed was comfortable. The room would not be cleaned without 24 hours notice. Theat is wrong...will be writing to corporate.

Sad to say that there are not a lot of good quality Choice Hotels in the Cleveland area. Yours is okay. Too bad you don't have more rooms that offer a roll in shower. Only room 203. The sink area is super small so not much room to put toiletries or clothes to get dressed with. I don't think anyone was thinking when they designed that room. The breakfast area is very tight on space. It's definitely not the quality of the Sleep Inn in Rochester, MN.

It’s overall ok. However the worn out broken down mattresses are a MAJOR blow to the scoring. Here’s what many frugal hotel owners don’t care to realize: the reason a patron comes to a hotel IS the MATTRESS because they come there to sleep. The toilet, the shower are next, television or climate control etc, important but secondary . My mattress in 227 was shaped like a sleigh, and I took a picture as proof. I didn’t bother you downstairs about it. But if I come back, I hope NOT to get THAT room until you get a good mattress for it. I propped up the center with a pillow, but it still wasn’t practical. I was rolling to the center like I was sliding into a hole. The short story is you actually rip off a customer if you don’t give them a good night sleep. Cheaping out by not replacing mattress

Positive: "" Negative: The hotel is very dated,the tv did not work and there was dirty under garment under the vanity in bathroom vanity. Paid for microwave and Refrigerator none. Went to breakfast 10 mins. early and the attendant said it was for the guest workers,very rude!

My go to hotel when I take a road trip to the Cleveland Zoo. Staff has been the same every time I've stayed there for several years now. Quiet but convenient location. Slept like a rock. Breakfast is well-stocked and fresh.
