Candlewood Suites Cleveland South - Independence by IHG

Sooo many conferences which can make parking start to suck, and the roomservice kept taking our clean folded towels and leaving us none. But the rooms were nice with tiny ranges and a good sized fridge and microwave. The free bean to cup coffee for guests in the lobby won me over for sure.

Location suited me to where I was going. The atmosphere was terrible. Upon arrival, there was a family outside in front of the entrance so that I could not pull up and unload my car. Rooms are fine, however, the room type I booked was not given to me. I requested another room and I heard "Well, I didn't put you into the wrong type of room, the computer did", "it is our last room available" and "I didn't know what your room type was". What? For real, these comments came from a front desk attendant. Value for the room is poor. Hotels in Independence are always overpriced. Noise level is also subpar; you can hear your neighbor during active times. Parking is terrible.||||In regard to options provided by the "it's not my fault" clerk, I was told I could TAKE ANOTHER GUEST'S ROOM. Really? Am I

My sons and I book a hotel every Oscar night. They bring the food and leave after the show; I stay over. This was by and far the best accommodations we ever had for this yearly tradition. Clean-up was easy and the dishwasher was so quiet I ran it while I slept. The bathroom was HUGE and offered such niceties as Dove product dispensers in the shower and permanent and handheld shower heads. The TVs were large and clear. The furniture in the sitting area was comfortable. WI-FI was fast and there were plenty of places to plug in devices. There was ample counter space and an apartment sized fridge. I was thrilled to see there was even a small induction stove top. My only reasons for not giving it a ten were A. the remote to the bedroom TV did not work (a small thing, but checking the re

Thursday night we drove from Niagara Falls to Cleveland. The hotel we booked was a disaster that night so we called all over for a new hotel. We finally got in contact with Joseph from Candlewood. He was very friendly over the phone and we felt like it was good enough for us to leave our current hotel to go to candlewood .. first thing he showed us two rooms so we knew which one would be correct for us. The place smelt great. The room we got was perfect and the pool was huge and clean. Made from a disaster at our previous hotel to a perfect vacation at this hotel. We couldn’t be happier . Joseph and all the other staff were friendly and overall a great experience. Will stay there again for sure!!!

To be honest there's a lot of parking lots, weird location for a main entrance, excellent place to stay and top notch staff. Animal friendly and tastefully updated rooms. Very safe and friendly.
