Ethan Allen Hotel

The room itself is okay. Very dated and the furniture is obviously worn. Not what I expect from Ethan Allen hotel. The front desk is incredibly rude ( Kaitlyn,) and the main reason why I would never stay here again. I travel often for work and for leisure and I can honestly say that the interactions I had with the front desk is the only reason why I would not stay here ever again. I called at 1:30 p.m. to see if there was the possibility for early check-in and the person on the phone laughed at me and said we don't know you need to come and just see if your room is available. That has never happened before. In reference, I made reservations at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City to stay there for a stay and the interaction I have with them was incredibly pleasant. This hotel has been around for a long time. I grew up close by and recently had to stay while visiting family. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m putting it at the top of my list for any return trips. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean. The room was extremely comfortable. Very pleased.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times when visiting family. I am also typically not a complainer either. Maid service came to change towels & make our bed, great! Nope! They left our door OPEN! Not only that the changed our sheets & left them in our room along with 1/2 roll of toilet paper. I marched down to the front desk with the ball of sheets. I explained to the girl that our door was left OPEN, she did apologize & as I walked away called someone named Ed. I’m assuming he was the hotel manager on duty? The next day we dumped into the hotel manager, I told him what happened. No apology, he immediately asked did they move you. Why the heck would we get moved? Ethan Allen Hotel, Danbury, CTWe recently stayed at the Ethan Allen Hotel and had a generally pleasant experience. When we walked into the lobby, we were impressed by how welcoming and well-maintained it was. There was a convenient self-serve coffee and tea station with water and all the necessary condiments, which was a nice touch.Check-in was quick and easy. We were given a room on the first floor. Upon entering, we found the room to be very clean and spacious. Although we didn’t unpack, there was ample space for clothing and storage. A desk and chair were available, which would be useful for anyone needing to get work done. The room also included a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with pods, teabags, and all the condiments, very convenient. The TV was a good size and worked well.Th

the room was great, clean and comfortable but the lady at the front named Marie is extremely rude and unpleasant. was not very welcoming upon check in and simply looked like she didn’t want to be here. she seemed annoyed when my husband wanted to pay cash and didn’t even say hello.
