Embassy Suites by Hilton San Luis Obispo

Close to the highway. We had to change rooms as it was so loud. Get a room facing the front right side of the hotel. The windows are aren't new so sounds travels through them. We got an upgrade because of the noise to a room with a sliding glass door, the noise was okay but the cold and the heat of the sun made the room either too hot or too cold. It was crazy. The beds were very comfortable as well as the fold out couch bed which was surprising. The bathrooms were nice just a bit small with not alot of counter space. Not a fan of charging for parking in a normal parking lot, seams like a money grab at 20.00 a day at this location. Breakfast was great and the free managers reception was good. Shout out to Kevin the engineer really tried to get that heater to work!

5* for sure! We stayed one night on Christmas Eve to break up drive between the Bay and LA during a ferocious rain storm. Warm greeting upon arrival! I had pre-selected a room on the Hilton app and we LOVED our suite that had a cute inside balcony overlooking the courtyard. With the crazy weather outside, it was fun to be indoors with a lovely courtyard and as we were totally interior, had no traffic noise from 101. ||We ordered food from the bar as it was a holiday, nothing was open - really appreciated a decent selection of menu items at a fair price. The bartenders that night were fantastic as everyone was "In hotel" for the night they were busy but got our order and delivered food quickly! ||Best part - was the gym and the warm indoor pool! Positive: We really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise to find out they offered a complimentary happy hour after checking into the hotel. Negative: We did not like the $17 parking fee that was assessed to park in the open (not designated or cordoned off) strip mall parking lot that was shared with retail stores like Nordstrom Rack.

I’ve stayed here twice now and have absolutely loved it each time. This hotel was a wonderful indoor courtyard, is clean and tidy, and even the smallest rooms are incredibly spacious. It’s always a pleasure and relief to come back here for a visit.

Fabulous hotel, with spacious, well-appointed rooms. Our room had French doors that looked down on to the atrium cafe & bar. We were worried that it was going to be noisy (it wasn’t). Great water pressure, nice closet, comfortable bed (with 2 pillows per person), dressing/makeup table with bench. Shopping (including Boot Barn) and restaurants across the parking lot. Fantastic complimentary breakfast includes made to order omelets.
