Embassy Hotel Ann Arbor

Male front desk person on the phone was very strange and rude about my simple inquire into a room for 2 nights when I tried to book in advance. A hotel should know what rooms are available right? That’s not an insane ask? I just needed a room for 2 nights because I’m giving a workshop at the library and take the trains to and from my town I thought I’d be booking for an affordable stay but not with hospitality like I just experienced. Rude and curt on the phone and I don’t expect they treat you any better in person

I have to commend the owners for trying their best to clean up the room prior to our stay but a word to the wise don't stay here unless you are desperate. The main floor rooms are on street level and unfortunately we had a drunk guy pounding on our window at 3:30 a.m. I found out the next day he was trying to get into another room and the caretaker had to finally let him in. We committed to two nights and that was a mistake as one was all we could take. Unfortunately no refund will be given. As mentioned in the first review the rooms are shabby with old beds the carpeting was wet and the bathroom was a pit. Don't stay here unless you're desperate!

Had a terrible experience with the male manager with a Southern accent. So rude and short with me - he threatened to call the cops on me even though I wasn't doing anything problematic. Don't go here until said southern owner is gone!

Staff is very nice, and have accommodated my family. There are some reviews saying this place is unsafe. Mine dude this is located in Ann arbor Michigan the safest city in the country. Compared to out west, where I've stayed at hotels in Albuquerque, Los Angeles and Phoenix, this place is super safe. It's just a bunch of homeless people that have transitional housing here

The most rough hotel I've ever been in, but the price and location almost make up for it. No bathrooms in your room. I wouldnt trust the sinks because....no bathroom in the room. If you dont mind a bad room for a fair price and great location, here ya go.
