Edwardian Hotel

Decent comfy clean room at a good price in a great location. I’d suggest they add labels to shampoo and conditioner dispensers, as currently it’s impossible to tell them apart. Also, my hair drier had a European wall plug so it wasn’t usable… But both of those critiques are minor things that are easily fixable. Also, staff on phone could be more polite.

Convenient for downtown. Several public transport lines are very close, so connections are good. The accommodation is basic but clean. No central heating, just a small fan heater, so if you're OK with the noise, it's fine. No in-room safe or coffee. WiFi works just fine. Very limited number of electrical sockets in the room. The lift in ancient, but it does work.

Enjoyed my return stay at reliable Edwardian Hotel. Day staff Mansour & Jessica attended to my daily needs as night staff kept hotel manned and safe. Simple accommodations in a great location account for my third stay here.||Nighttime street environment can be challenging but nearby Zuni Cafe keeps street lively and safe. Walkable to Castro & SOMA with trolley stop directly in front of hotel. Room was comfortable even in unexpectedly warm SF August.||Will return next year for good value and great location.

Positive: I think the Edwardian is an excellent value. It exceeds in value beyond other hotels in its star level. I travel to UCSF every three weeks and the Edwardian has become hotel after trying several others. Negative: The trade-off for the Edwardian is the location, which is on the busy Market Street. It generally gets quite after 10:00.

Stayed for 1 night. The hotel is in a great location, it felt pretty safe. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfy. Checked in pretty late and lobby staff was helpful. It is great for its price and I would definitely stay here again. Only con was the shower- everything was clean but the shower curtain was not effective at all and water would go everywhere, but thats totally fixable with towels.
