Great location!Felt safe in the area the Economy Inn was located in. Close to a lot of stores and convenient shopping for daily needs.Rooms are no smoking,so it smelled and looked an clean. I didn't see any creepy crawlys. The tub/shower area smelled/looked/felt like it was recently scrubbed.I felt very safe showering with no shower shoes.(But i did wear shoes everyware in the room.) I did enjoy my experience staying at the Economy Inn.
This hotel is what you expect and more for a cheap hotel in san francisco it is clean and tidy with bus routes on the doorstep to take you to fisherman's wharf or china town. The manager is very friendly and helpful... he also has a great sense of humor
I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Economy Inn! From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and eager to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious—everything you could want for a comfortable and affordable stay. The bed was super cozy, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and I appreciated the little touches like a mini-fridge, microwave, and reliable Wi-Fi. The location was also perfect—quiet at night but conveniently close to restaurants, gas stations, and highway access. What stood out most was the genuine hospitality. You can tell the management truly cares about guests’ comfort and satisfaction. Whether you’re traveling for business, passing through, or just need a peaceful night’s rest, the Economy
I never write reviews but I had to for this one. This might be the worse motel I’ve stayed at the sheets had stains. AC and vents were caked in dust and gunk. Bathroom had a bad smell. Fridge had mold. There was no towels. Pillows and pillow cases were stained and dirty. Blankets had cigarette holes. I only stayed because I complained about the room and they gave us brand new sheets, pillows and blankets. This could just be my experience but I would never stay or recommend anyone to stay here.
The owners were very nice to me. They were helpful. The location is pretty good. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Palace of Fine Arts so I got to enjoy it whenever I wanted to without taking a bus or an Uber. It’s also close to the Golden Gate Bridge. My biggest issue was the noise. I get it. It’s a hotel, and everyone is on vacation, but the floors creaked and the neighboring rooms were always very loud. The rooms are very close to each other, and I have feeling the walls are really thin because I could hear everything they were saying in the room next door. Cleanliness wasn’t bad. I could tell they clean the rooms, but it’s just older. I could tell that the furniture just needs changing at this point. It doesn’t matter how much you clean something, if it isn’t replaced every once in a wh
