Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Tuscaloosa I-20

It was horrible. I had the nastiest room ever. Dead roaches, live roaches in the bed on the toilet crawling everywhere. I had a green light that looked like a a pin light in my bathroom vent that had me feeling some kind of way all night. The towels and rags looked as if someone washed their tires with them. I was bitten by something all night and the sheets looked like they came out of a fire and were definitely not looking clean. I couldn't even see myself in the mirror it was so filthy. The chair in the room had oil in it, like someone sat their with a bottle of oil and played with their self. What else can I say. Nothing ....but if you don't believe me I have a video that shows everything. And when I called to complain all they get off for me was a discount on my next stay...

We rented this room for one night for $228, for the AL and Vanderbilt game #204 (today I notice the price is $45 a night) Thankfully I brought sheets and a blankets with us. I called at 8am to ask about if we could check in early and was told no problem you can arrive anytime today. Arrived around 1pm, and the front desk advised my husband our smoking room (ummm we don’t smoke, well sorry that’s all we have ) was not cleaned so can we wait ? After about 30 min at check in they seemed to work it out and we got our key. We enter to the strongest smell of cigarettes, similar to a bar. The TV playing an info mercial very loudly. No electric outlets on both sides of the bed worked. We tried remotes for the TV both missing backs so batteries fall out. Neither remote worked and the insignia bran

After trying 3 times, monday to Thursday, in a row, can easily tell that EVERYONE working here is an 'absolute bare minimum' type of person. Have been killing roaches and will not give them another chance. This was posted the first time I stayed 3 nights: Decent room for a budget motel. Haven't seen any bugs. Excellent shower pressure. Traffic in the vicinity is complete bs but there are so many restaurants, a general store and a liquor store within walking distance it doesn't really matter. What pisses me off is that the guy wouldn't let me get coffee this morning. I travel for work, in either a hotel or my camper 100% of my life. Every hotel in America has coffee available 24/7. God damnit

Worst hotel experience of my life! Mirrors were covered in smoke. Along with air conditioning was full of cigarette smoke. Towels were stained and looked dirty. Black around molding in the tub. Did not sleep a single hour!

With some paint, new linens and updated furniture this place could be very nice! But it is rundown! When a business can do so little to make giant improvements it just shows how little they care! A little paint, a little bleach, two sets of new sheets, two comforters, a new shower curtain, some nice wash cloths and towels, a new ice bucket and tray (not the nasty cigarette burned bucket and tray) may be a nice rug and some elbow grease and this run down room would look shiny and brand new...really for a $500-600 investment??
