Could go for a upgrading. Not all that great but checking/out was easy. It has a few restaurants within walking distance. Dollar Tree, a souvenir shop down the street. It had a musty smell - so that was not good. The shower had some rust looking color in it. It wasn't a 5 star but it wasn't a 1 star. The pool was kept up pretty good - clean. The doors, didn't close tight, so kept our luggage propped up against it. Wouldn't stay there again. Way overpriced for what it looked like. Good location for the cruise port but DEFINITELY needs a upgrade BIG TIME!
When we arrived, we noticed thick scratch marks on the wall behind the desk, the smell was off (possibly old smoke), and the door had seriously peeling paint. Caulk around the toilet bowl was off-colored and the tile in the bathroom was poorly patched together around the tub. We dropped off our luggage. No big problems, we thought. UNTIL we returned after dinner to find BUGS. (Got a photo of one of them--attached.) We grabbed our luggage and left immediately. We didn't stay in the unit at all. Nick, the guy at the front desk when we left, took our room cards. We told him about the bugs. He didn't say anything. No call from the owner or manager. At this point, we wouldn't want to hear from them because they chose to be non-responsive which indicates to us that they probably knew about th
Check in was easy. The lady was very nice and professional and reasonable price for room, other than that the room not up to standards as far as clean and not smelling fresh. Someone cleaning rooms just used a room key and opened the door without knocking or announcing themselves and this happened a couple of hours before check out. Accidentally left my boarding pass for cruise and called them about it and they trashed it. Also it’s very close to the port terminals.
Mississippi, if you go camping, this is your place. It’s like sleeping in the yard. The bands are uncomfortable. Go to the bathroom you just have pants throw to wipe your ass with thank you very much. Do not stay here. I’m so disappointed. And Choice rewards charge me $152 when I’m looking on the Internet it ain’t but $100 room. I’m telling you now I wouldn’t pay five dollars for this room. Please be advised do not stay and if I got a bed book I’m suing the hell out of somebody.
Affordable and convenient location. Rooms all have a smell from smoking. We had a group so several rooms were rented. Management was nice and friendly. Heating/ AC unit worked well. Overall not a bad experience at all!
