Econo Lodge at the Falls North

The hotel requires a $200 cash deposit to check in. They don't tell you that in advance. If you forget to ask for it back they will just keep it. That's what they're expecting to happen a certain percentage of the time. I have rules against smoking in the room and yet there was a strong smell of marijuana from the clerk who checked me in. I did get my money back. No real complaints about the room.

I would say this is a very mediocre motel. Seems more like what one would associate with a motel rather than hotel. Heat and TV didn’t work properly in our first room. We got another room and things worked fine. Breakfast was a carb buffet. Bagels, sugary cereal, high fructose corn syrup drinks, make your own waffles, muffins. Surrounding area is industrial and not anywhere to hang out. Mediocre at best.

My spouse and I were visiting WNY secondary to medical appointments, staying for 7 nights-we typically do not stay in hotel/motels, but due to no availability of vrbo/airbnb options, we decided to give the Econo lodge a try... I am begging you...DO NOT STAY HERE!! 1st-rooms are dirty- esp the bathroom floor/tile grout, and under the beds!! ! 2nd-room phones do not work; 3rd-free Wifi does not work; 4th-when asking for housekeeping service, it does NOT GET DONE!!-we didn't even request it daily...5th-doors to rooms have poorly fitting weatherstripping-thus flies, etc find their way into you room!! 6-filter/screen for the room a/c was filthy! Upon entering the room, the room stunk sooo badly, my husband pulled the filter-had to wash it, then replaced it-this fortunately helped!! 7-free "bre

The room was very nice and clean. My only issue was one tv did not work at all and the other tv had issues as well. Internet connection was also weak. Other than that the staff were great and would stay again if they improved on those two things.

Overall I was satisfied with my stay at this hotel. When we arrived at 9:45 at night the sign was not lot up so I was a little concerned what we had reserved but when we entered the office, the front desk attendant was very friendly, helpful and informative. She checked us in quickly and we were on our way to our room. When we arrived our room it was very clean and we had no complaints. The only issue we did have was getting the TV to work which we eventually figured out. I was surprised that outdoor heated pool was open and clean. And it stays open until midnight. It was a bit chilly out though so we didn't take advantage of that this time. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
