DoubleTree by Hilton Providence Airport Warwick

I stayed here last year right after it opened and was brand new. I had read some awful reviews recently and was worried about staying here last Saturday evening. I found the hotel to be very clean, beds extremely comfortable and everything worked well. The room was well lit, which for me is a plus. The rooms are small, but fine for a short stay. I liked having the sink outside the shower/toilet area. We plan on staying here again come July.

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights. Upon entry, the hotel was beautiful. It felt clean, spacious, it felt somewhat high end. There's a bar and restaurant as well. The room layout was not my favorite but it was OK however the cleanliness could use some improvement. Although finding hair is not a huge deal breaker. I can understand how that can be one for some people. With that being said.... there was a LOT of hair in the bathroom on the floor, counter and towels. We were super tired after a super long day of traveling so it didn't matter but still. If the housekeeping supervisor was doing her/his job well, it wouldn't of been an issue. The outside of this hotel doesn’t look like much but the inside is wonderful. It’s fresh and new, with a pleasing color scheme, friendly staff, updated furnishings. I like hotels without carpets in the rooms and this one has laminate flooring and pretty area rugs. Very nice. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was spotless, and modern. The mirror over the sink has the option to use an in-mirror light that changes scenes. This hotel should have a higher rating than it does. I was so pleasantly surprised.

My girl friend and I were unfortunately staying here. First off the room was poorly cleaned, the previous guests shower materials were left out, bits of material on the floor in the main room. The room set up was also awkward, the toilet and sink were not in the same room. So probably some bacteria on the door handle. The hotel only has two floors. Sadly, we stayed here the night of the shooting at Brown University. We were placed on the bottom floor with a window that locked. Paranoid, I call the front desk who tells me the hotel is sold out but he will check on maintenance, someone will be there in 5 minutes. 10 minutes go by.
