Customer Reviews
Rooms were dated….but we didn’t spend too long in the room. Cleaning crew (for the rooms) were very nice and efficient. Linens were good quality (towels even were fluffy and bigger than most I’ve had at hotels). Front desk staff and breakfast employees very friendly and able to accommodate requests (ps- thanks for the cookies and extra pillows). UPS store owner even had a cable he sold my husband to connect to TV so we could stream movies. Gift shop staff made nice conversation and pleasant to speak with. Parking was pretty easy with large area. This hotel had quite a few hockey teams and didn’t seem bothered by all the kids (some hotels are not as welcoming ). Uber and Lyft drivers always picked up fast from the area and friendly. Thankyou Doubletree ….keep up the good work.
Positive: "" Negative: Dated and worn carpets and interiors in the hallways. I was surprised at how old everything felt. I had first stayed at this hotel in 2004 and the hallway interiors are badly in need of updating. Also the $30+/day parking fee is absurd.
Hate to say it, but this hotel room was not nice at all. I'm giving 2 out of 5 only because the lobby bar was nice. I don't think I've ever seen a property more in need of a renovation than this one. The carpets, bedding, decor were all REALLY dated. If that were the only problem, I could live with it. However, the bathroom was dirty. There was hair all over the floor and a used bar of soap in the shower. This is not what I expect from a Doubletree property.
This hotel is convenient and affordable, coming in half the price for similar accomodations nearby. The hotel itself is just old - the rooms are old, some furniture has clearly seen better days (seats and benches with springs popping through in the lobby, for example), TVs were small and askew, and the water pressure in the shower left something to bed desired. That said: the beds were comfortable, internet worked, service was impeccable, the food at the hotel bar was great for a quick meal, and the location was excellent. For business travel where I care about affordability, accessibility and a minimum of fuss, I'd highly recommend and will be a repeat guest.
We stayed at this hotel after our flight was cancelled. After having a very average experience with hotels in Orlando we found this hotel refreshing. The beds were comfy, very minimal light in the hotel room at night, quiet ac systems and the room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here even though it was short. The lobby was beautiful to relax in as well and has a small convenience store which was great.
