Days Inn by Wyndham Winchester

We had a good one night stay here when stopping mid road trip. The service was good aside from the long wait time for someone to check us in. The room however was not up to standards. There was stains on all the lamp shades, weird stuff splattered on the walls and tables and stains on the blankets. We enjoyed our stay there but for $96 a night I expect to at least have a clean bed!

I stayed at the Winchester location near I-81 and Rt. 11. At check-in, the man in charge asked me numerous times why I was in town.. I thought that was a little odd and prying. The hotel was rather noisy (children screaming from various rooms on my floor and, at least, 2 dogs barking). Room doors slammed at regular occasion up and down the hallway. It almost seemed like some people were actually living there and not simply visitors staying at the hotel. The hallways were a little sketchy.. dark old carpet, narrow hallway corridors, etc. There were food crumbs on the floor of my room. The south door at the 2nd floor was propped open as was the exterior door down the staircase leading to this same 2nd floor hallway entrance... not very secure as anyone outside could easily access the 2nd flo

It was ok for one night. Breakfast was just coffee and cereal. Room were clean and bed was ok

My husband, daughter, and I had a wonderful three-night stay here! This hotel is an updated hidden gem — perfect if you’re picky about where you stay, but also want something convenient and affordable. I’ll admit, I’m usually a total lodging snob and tend to stick with VRBOs or Airbnbs, so I wasn’t sure what to expect booking this last minute from out of state. We were pleasantly surprised — the inside FAR exceeded our expectations. The location is excellent: safe (a top priority for us, especially traveling with our 14-year-old), close to restaurants and stores, and unbelievably quiet and peaceful. Interior/exterior corridors. Not a lot of parking, and not easy to get into or out of the parking lot. Quick and easy check-in. Laminate floors. Small bathroom. Comfy bed; I slept well here. Overall, pretty good for the price, but not a good place to stay if you have a large vehicle.
