Days Inn by Wyndham Cedar Falls- University Plaza

It was a room that kept me out of dying in a snowstorm, but that's pretty much the best thing I have to say about this hotel. The lobby was pretty musty and smelled bad, the room was musty and dirty, and was clearly not vacuumed before my stay. I definitely did not feel comfortable walking around the room barefoot, or taking a shower there due to the cleanliness issues. The TV remote did not work, and the chair in the room was in horrible shape and really should have been thrown out. First thing I checked for was bed bugs, and did not see any active signs of them. But due to the cleanliness of the hotel, I definitely threw all my clothes in the dryer first thing when I got home. As for the breakfast, there really was no breakfast. Cockroach present in room. It crawled across the dresser. Dresser drawers had cockroach feces. Biological stains and drippings on carpet and walls. Employees have insecticide handy behind the front desk which is quite a coincidence considering they told me they have not received any cockroach complaints.

Price was great but this is a tale of you get what you pay for. Very very dirty location. Everything was stained: the sheets, the blankets (including a burn hole in the comforter), the towels, and there was a large mysterious white stain on our floor. The staff did replenish towels and such during our stay so that was nice. The first room we were in had hair everywhere but most visibly the bathroom floor. The other guests with us switched rooms multiple times due to the smoke smell/condition. The man at the front was very nice about it all and switched our rooms with no complaints or push back. “Included” breakfast only happens on weekends apparently. Our rooms were non-refundable so we stayed our entire stay as scheduled but if that were not the case we probably would have looked elsewher

Positive: location Negative: They had obviously done some painting in the room, so it was freshly painted, but the downside was, there were paint splatters all over, very careless.

They offer "breakfast" but it's instant oatmeal and waffles you make yourself. The staff while not in friendly aren't exactly welcoming either. They don't knock before entering the room and most staff don't speak English. They also didn't like giving an extra blanket. The TV barely worked. Water pressure was very nice. They didn't have the supplies to keep the room clean and all they did was vacuum (I was there for a week) once. The parking lot is tight. If you go here, don't expect much, and lock your doors at all times because of the drug addicts who lurk around the hotel and sometimes harass people. Aside from all of that, it's a smart location. Well within walking and driving distance of many restaurants, and a few stores. But would I stay there again? No. I'm still surprised I
