Dakota Hotel

Stayed in Glasgow for a few days and came here for breakfast, didn't really know what to expect but it was lovely. Selection was a bit limited, but got a great welcome and service from Thomas, would highly recommend.

Place is old, more like a hostel than a hotel. Breakfast is various types of bread with jam or butter. Elevator was never functional when we were there. Traffic and voices outside noisy most of the night, even on 6th floor. Room smelled strongly of urine, and they were nice to change our room, which smelled better, but I still found what looked like blood on the mirror. Overall, cleanliness was less than I expected for the high price I paid. We ended up leaving the second night even though we paid for the night as it didn't meet our standards and staff didn't seem concerned about our complaints.

Great staff, good complimentary mini bar, fantastic sized room and amazing shower - how it should be when you come to a hotel. Clean, affordable luxury. This will be our new go-to hotel in Glasgow for sure!

We were 4 girls and the beds were comfortable and clean but the shower didn’t have a lot of pressure so for girls is quite hard to shower. And for the price the breakfast was pretty sad, too many bread kinds and too few things to put on them and all sweet, it could be nice to have some hot milk or cereal, fruit, savoury like cheese and ham for a sandwich. But the location is pretty good thought.

If you are planning on making a short trip to San Francisco this is the place to stay. It's perfectly located. Near Union square and Westfield center. If you stay here or in Adelaide Hotel you get discounts on tours and bike rentals. The room is comfy, the bathrooms are clean, they have a fridge and a microwave. You get free breakfast from 7am till 10am and you can use the kitchen until 10pm if you want to cook your own food. It has a really nice and comfy living room with books to you can read, board games and a guitar you can play. Perfect place for a backpacker or someone moving from one place to another. Price is good as well. Cheap compared to most places in San Francisco
