Crystal Hotel

My wife and I lived here about 15 yrs ago when this first turned into an SRO. We now live in a nice place in Seattle, drug free for 12 yrs now. Man, I loved the Mission district.

This is one of the best SRO housing buildings. Ultra clean and no bugs. Owners take great care of this building and all the rooms are refurbished with large flat screen TV with sat cable. New floors and lots of power outlets. Thanks

I have been at this hotel/SRO now for about 7 months and I have to say, I was really surprised at the cleanliness of this hotel. There are no bad or overwhelming odors throughout the building. It is definatly an older building with no elevator or air conditioning (fortunately as anyone who has been living in San Francisco for a while knows, there is really no need for it) but they do have central heat throughout the rooms and building. The rooms are well kept with a good bed mattress, a sink (good pressure and plenty of hot and cold water. As do the showers), one window and a small closet. I have a recently updated flooring with no carpeting, which I appreciate since it is easier to maintain. Room & board for INDIVIDUALS recently deciding to make homelessness a memory! I do not give these individuals the blame for my low score of this hotel.... it is simply the management husband and wife team from india that are the reason. Stereotypes are for a basic reason. They fit a mold that has been tested again and again and the similar opinion makes up this stereotype.its not racist in origin...it just appears that way from my words.but my words hope fully keep you from having to go through what i went through. As far as i know the only entry into residency here is through SF County Hot Team or SF County Navigation Center. It is an sro program Stepping stone to more permanent housing

As someone who has stayed at all most, all of the SROs in the city- This one is obviously run well. There's no garbage in the halls, no yelling and screaming, etc..
