Creekwood Village Resort

My husband and myself for our 42nd wedding anniversary. We have been coming up every 10 years since our initial marriage. But as we get older and realize tomorrow is not promised and we do love Maggie Valley and surrounding areas but we do miss Ghost Town in the sky.

Location is convenient and being on the water was nice, but property is dumpy and I’m disrepair - Dumpster, heavy equipment, people in the stream moving rocks at weird hours. A lot of strange people driving in and out, and noise late into the evening. Cabin was mediocre at best.

The ambience of the mountains is awesome. With a mountain stream behind us, fishing pond in front of us. Restaurants and shopping, pleasure. We stayed in cabin nine at creekwood village, fire pit in the back a hot tub and privacy. The staff was attentive. Can't wait to go back.

We had great time at the event but the living area needs a big update. The sheets was not clean, the beds was not comfortable they was very hard. The tv worked but there was no sound, the speakers was blown out. The hot water heater didn’t last long, most of the time we had to wash in cold water. The carpet smelled like mildew, we had to go get some carpet powder to make it smell decent. We talked with some of the neighbors in the other cabins and they had the same complaints.

The location was great but the beds were far from comfortable, pillows were horrible, kitchen and bathroom needed to be updated badly, no AC upstairs, holes in the floor upstairs, spider in the shower, the owner smoked in the office so the linens had heavy cigarette smell. Furniture was very uncomfortable. We will NOT be back!
