Courtyard by Marriott Worcester

Horrible experience, paid for two queen beds, was told I paid for king and pull out sofa. Put us in room with beds low to the ground. I was told it was the “3rd party” reservation, then we were moved to a room that was not cleaned. They changed us again, tv didn’t work, stayed on a “still” picture, internet Wi-Fi was not working either. We had our two grandbabies with us, wasn’t good. Woman at counter kept referring to my “3rd party” reservation. Unacceptable!!! To top it off, everything was costly, a small bottle of cranberry juice was $8.50 (100% markup from the airport and they charged for parking. That wasn’t noted anywhere. Horrible experience

Disappointed. We stayed during a family wedding weekend. The hotel kindly allowed us to check in an hour and a half early, which was nice, because we had the bride's wedding dress, and we had only a few minutes to to get to the rehearsal. However, there was no one at reception for over 15 minutes, there was a just a sign saying "will be back shortly"... Many guest waiting! A kind gentleman let me skip in front of him, since we were in a hurry. I have never, ever experienced that before (june 13th at 1:20pm)... Our room was not very clean, desk surface a little sticky and the chrome of the back of the desk chair had so many fingerprints and other layers of uncleanliness that it was cringe-worthy. Room 326. When I entered the lobby to check in, I found it to be nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I made my way to the bar for some food and drinks. That was another very pleasant experience. My room was clean, and comfortable. The curtains created a dark, great sleeping environment. Check out was just as nice. I will stay here again.

I don't usually write reviews for hotels when I am not there for vacation, but the service at this particular location (and I've stayed at a lot of Courtyards) was second to none. I need to preface that by saying we were there for a hockey tournament so I know full well we were not the ideal guests (60+ 10-12yr old kids running a muck in the halls with not nearly as many parents trying to herd them). Suzy and Alicia at the front desk were absolutely amazing and did everything they could to work with us. From opening the meeting room so the kids could play knee hockey in a contained area to accomodating large gatherings in the common areas, we could not have asked for a better stay. Hopefully their heads have stopped pounding!

I dont know, personally, I think a lot of the negative reviews are a bit picky and pretentious. This is a great hotel with everything that you could want and need. The staff is great, beds are comfortable, and there's a lot of convenience. Im not sure why anyone would complain. The only thing is, some rooms share a door for a family and you can hear clearly in the next room. If i could hear quiet giggles, I wonder what else you could hear. 🤔😂
