Courtyard by Marriott Wilmington Downtown/Historic District

First stay here. Right downtown 2 blocks off the water. Building is well kept, the rooms (bathrooms) are showing some age. The water pressure was HORRIBLE. Could barely use the shower. FREE parking on the street from 6pm to 9am. The valet was MIA every time I saw someone out there trying to get a car. Get a room at the back of the property if you want good sleep. Construction and cars starting at 5am out the front.

January 23 - 25, 2026 4.4 Stars. We stayed in downtown Wilmington for three days at this Marriott hotel. Our first impressions were: great location near everything, professional & helpful staff, small rooms with small fridge, very small luggage carts, provided two water bottles immediately at check in, and affordable parking garage nearby for $10 a night. The gym was in the second floor. Small lobby yet very spacious eating area with a bar, restaurant, and Starbucks coffee area for eating & drinking. We stayed at one of the highest floors with a view of the museum and it was a peaceful & quiet room to sleep in during the night. Hotel staff was very professional & friendly except for one front desk staff with long blonde hair, who couldn’t answer my question. When I asked her if she knew

Positive: The bed Negative: Yes, the pool was only open 1 day of our trip, the toilet didn't work, we had to switch around lightbulbs because 2 of them weren't working, and we had to share a charger because the outlet next to the bed didn't work. Asked for a kitchen and it didn't.

Shout out to this Courtyard! Easy to check in with plenty of luggage carts. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Perfect location in walking distance to all downtown attractions. When leaving our room this am a nice young man in hall to service rooms greeted us! We were a little surprised that we weren't offered any goodies (i.e. water, snack,etc) for our Gold Elite status

Location is perfect you can walk everywhere for food and drinks Lobby is spacious and cozy nice spot to meet with friends before exploring downtown We more than enjoyed our drinks at the bistro our bartender Zack was extremely friendly and accommodating to our large party he knew the area well and recommended cool bars/restaurants and places to visit during our stay will definitely stay here again
