Courtyard by Marriott Tuscaloosa

Rooms are a little on the shabby, rundown side. Hotel is LOUD, nestled right next to an on-ramp to a freeway. On the bright side, in just about all of my interactions with staff they were friendly and pleasant. Due to manager policy, no bistro credits are given to Bonvoy Platinum+ members. Based on the condition of the hotel and the noise, if you're a frequent traveler I'd suggest staying at one of the many other options in the area.

Positive: The balcony. Privacy. The rooms get mad cold and that was AMAZING!!! (we run hot)! Negative: The ice machine on the second floor didn't work.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming and cozy hotel. The suite was exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed, offering a relaxing retreat. The on-site Starbucks Bistro & Bar was a standout feature—perfect for a quick bite or unwinding with a drink. The location is unbeatable, situated right at the exit and just steps from the campus, making it incredibly convenient for both leisure and business travelers.

The evening attendant was so rude. I booked online several hours before getting to the area using my marriot card. The app showed me already checked in but the attendant said they didnt have that type of room and she would have to charge me $180 more to get the only room they had left. When I tried to explain that I already had a room booked and a confirmation number she rolled her eyes and repeated that she didnt have any of those rooms and told me to cancel my reservation so she could rebook me at the higher rate. This hole in the wall place is not worth upwards of $300 a night no maam

Clean. Friendly staff. The building is made out of paper mache and balsa wood. Sound travels. The food area is NOT complimentary. Breakfast was nearly $50 with tip for two. Everything else was acceptable.
