Courtyard by Marriott San Jose Airport

I arrived at this hotel around 8pm Monday January 19th after a very long flight from the UK. I handed over my passport and trip itinerary from my travel agent but the man on the from desk could not find my reservation. He insisted that I must be at the wrong hotel and was not at all welcoming. As my travel agent is based in Europe I could not make contact until the morning due to the time difference. The man was absolutely adamant there was no reservation for me and insisted I paid upfront again, despite the fact my reservation had been pre-paid in December. I was totally exhausted after a long journey which I explained to him, but he had absolutely no empathy or compassion. If he had simply said please could we take your card as a guarantee and we sort this out in the morning that would b

Arrived here after a very long flight feeling very tired around 8pm local timr. The "manager" on the front desk couldn't find my reservation and was so uncaring and unhelpful. He started shouting at me and treated me in an appaling manner. I asked to speak to a manager as it was impossible to communicate in a reasonable way but he yold me he was the manager! I have no idea wherher this was true As the reservation was made and paid for in advance by a European travel agent I was unable to contact them to resolve as it was 4am in Europe at this time. Rather than just asking for my credit card as a back up until the morning when this could be resolved, he became insistent that I poid again for the night then and told me the on arrival rate that I must pay on the spot to secure a room. Positive: Compliments to two hotel receptionist upon my stay. Both were warm, friendly and very accommodating. I appreciated the welcoming spirit and attitude they both had. Negative: ""

Overall the facility was very nice, However like most things in California the pricing can sometime be a bit extreme. I only stayed 2 nights. The second night rate was steep but suspected. The first night , however, not so much. $305 for a stay is ridiculous. I'm just staying the night and the most time is spent sleeping for the night. Good Lord, I'm just looking for a place to sleep and relax, not rent for a month or have a permanent residence. Marriott as well as other hotels needs to reassess their pricing, as it is nothing short of price gouging!

Sadly I dint’t know that they don’t clean rooms or do the beds every day. They only do it every second day. Reserved a larger room they gave us the smallest one the coffee ladies ware great love them. I wouldn’t not stay there again. Perks for bonvoy club members ware null.
