Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Union Square

Nice hotel. I was worried with the reviews but this is a very decent Courytard. I interacted with three front desk associates and they were all nice. Antoinette was the best. She was very kind and warm and friendly when I checked in. Made it seem like I was coming "home.". The rooms were renovated and clean. My king room did seem small if size is an issue for people. The downstairs lobby also is well done and seems quite modern.

Close enough to Union square (6ish blocks), service was very good. Our room was pretty small but as always when it comes to courtyard it was comfortable and clean. You always know you can expect a clean/comfy room and nice decor when staying at courtyard. Very consistent and never disappoints. Coffee in lobby every morning and the restaurant food and service was good (a little pricey, but it is a hotel and it is in SF). Overall very happy and wound stay again. One note: it was freezing this week in SF, they need to figure out how to heat the lobby.

This place was an absolute surprise for the cheapest Marriott in San Francisco. I was here for a quick overnight for work and was expecting the usual dingy old joint you usually get for under $400 in the Tenderloin. But this place was rad from the moment I walked in. Front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming. They got me a needed late check out with a smile instead of the usual vibe of trying to invent reasons not to. There was cookies and popcorn at check in plus spa water and cheap drinks at the hotel bar happy hour. The entire hotel looks like it was rehabbed in the past year or two- carpets were spotless, king size bed new feeling and bathroom well-appointed with new walk in shower instead of the usual moldy tub/shower combo. A quick overnight stay at this Marriott. This is located in Union Square area but near the Tenderloin. I know some people get scared of the area but I didn’t mind it. They offer valet parking. I think if you stay anywhere in San Francisco you should go ahead and do valet parking if you’re going to pay for parking anyway. The hotel is really nice, they have a small lobby but still cute. The staff are very friendly. Another plus for this hotel is pets are allowed however there is a fee. The rooms are a bit tight but it’s nice and clean. Whether you’re here in town for a visit or business I’d say this is an ok spot. It’s really quiet and walking distance from the mall and other shops. Almost forgot there is a restaurant and bar in the hotel but we did not experience it.
