Courtyard by Marriott Grand Rapids Airport

Rooms are clean and has a walk in shower. Rooms are spacious . That's the good. Main disappoint is the room is long but the TV is a 32 inch 720p tv. It's like 10 plus feet from bed. This TV is worth $50 and if I was at a resort who cares about a TV. But I'm not on a resort and why can't Marriot buy a TV that costs a few hundred dollars? Get a 50 inch. If u don't care about watching TV this hotel will be fine. But for the price I can find many hotels and has a TV that isn't 15 years old

Very disappointed with my stay at this Courtyard. My room was over looking the employee smoke break area. My TV didnt work on any channel or Netflix. My in room phone didnt work. My tub drained so slowly I was standing in 8 inch of water while I shower. I tried calling the front desk and messaging them about the TV but they didnt answer and they were extremely slow to respond via messaging. They never came up to my room - i feel asleep at 12:30am & no one ever knocked on my door. I was literally sitting in silence on my phone. I would have heard a knock. I did complain to the front desk in the AM and the lady who I assume was a manager, was full of excuses and zero apology. Very disappointed as a marroitt gold member. 50+ stays year and this place is the dumps.

Huge shout-out to Jada at the front desk. She kindly picked my mother out of the passenger seat after a long day to transfer into her wheelchair. The appreciation of this act of kindness to help my family cannot be understated.

Good news, renovation/refresh is under way!! The room was in great shape and the bed was fresh and comfortable. About 7 minutes by car to the airport.|I got a friendly welcome when I arrived near midnight, but my rating is 4/5 because communication was a bit difficult and breakfast at the airport hotel should open before 7am. I couldn't understand if the young lady was checking me in on the reservation I'd made through the app, or if she was making a second reservation for me. I couldn't understand if breakfast would be complimentary or not. And I was hoping to skip all that by just walking in with the electronic key through the app, but that never worked.|Thank you Marriott for refreshing this decent place near the world's nicest little airport!

Brittany was very welcoming as we arrived. Our room was cool & clean& our bed was almost better than home. Morning coffee & muffin were yummy. There was a little problem with the shower, adjusted properly it worked fine. I did inform the gentelman at the desk as we checked out, and he was happy to know, as you don't know about every room
