Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Troy

In general, the hotel isn’t near much except other hotels. I stayed here for business trip on a Sunday night, for one night. I had really noisy neighbors the walls were super thin as well. I could hear the tv they had playing it was loud. I put earplugs in and could still hear it. I messaged the front desk and the neighbors turned the tv down/off. But then they were themselves loud and generally having a good time. It was late I had to get up early after some pretty exhausting travel and I eventually had to ask to switch rooms around 11pm. Overall the staff handled the issue well. But I don’t like when you have a hotel full of empty rooms and put you right next to someone else. I wish they had more sound proofing in the rooms, thought more carefully about placement, had a more convenient

I stay at Courtyard's frequently for business and personal travel. I understand the terms and agreements for a booking. ||However, plans change. Occasionally, my business plans change... I'm done early and can leave or I need to switch locations. This happens maybe... 1 or 2 times a year and EVERY time that it has previously happened the Marriott hotel has understood and adjusted until today. Late last night, my plans for today changed and I needed to relocate across town for 1 night so I booked the Courtyard in Ann Arbor for 1 night. This Courtyard, in Troy, refused to adjust my checkout date and required that I pay the booking in full. Positive: I liked the location.It was close to family and friends Negative: We booked this hotel because we were told the Bistro would be open for dinner. When we arrived, after a very long 12 hour drive, we were informed that it would only be opening the morning for coffee and not at night for the whole week. Disappointed.

I took a weekend staycation at this hotel with friends, and it was lovely! The lobby area was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool, they were perfect for relaxing. We received excellent housekeeping service during our two night stay. I’ll definitely be returning!

I really have to give a 5 for service. Every single employee was so nice and accommodating. Whatever we needed they helped and it was quick. Towels and more coffee. Hotel was very clean. 🧼 the breakfast downstairs was great. The lady at the bar was super helpful and patient with us being tired. 🥱 the jacuzzi area was really clean too. Probably the cleanest I’ve been too. The only complaint I have is that the suite only has one sink. Trying to get ready with 3 people was rather tricky. Bring a make up mirror if you’re in town with a family. The mirror is in the closet. Maybe add one to the bedroom also. And shower door did not close completely we have to put the soap dish in to hold it shut. I only got it to work a couple times. Thank you all at this location. Y’all deserve a raise.
