Comfort Suites Near Camp Lejeune

Positive: The hotel is located in the great spot very close to good restaurants and shopping. The room was very nice and clean. Negative: There was something going on with the concierge… Twice other people were given our room while we were still in it… However, this would not stop us from using this hotel again.

1. When we arrived at the hotel for our stay, no one was at the front desk, and we waited for 15 minutes before anyone showed up. When we returned to the hotel in the evening each day, no one was at the front desk, except for the last day (Nov. 28). 2. Multiple breakfast items were out of stock for several days. 3. On two occasions, we stopped at the front desk for a minor issue (such as renewing our key card) and the manager was involved with customers who had problems with their reservations. The manager didn't even acknowledge our presence on either occasion, and we ended up leaving without our issue being resolved. 4. The day before we checked out, housekeeping had only one fresh towel for our room. All the others had been used more than once. We had to wait about 2 hours to get a seco

The rooms were outdated, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Checking in was great, staff was nice and friendly. Entering our room I noted hair in the shower and stains on the toilet. After getting settled and cleaning little areas I went into the bathroom turned on the light and a family of roaches scattered. I told the front desk and they moved us to a different room. Next day after being gone all day we returned to our room for the night. My daughter complained about seeing a bug on the couch where she was sitting, I didn’t personally see the bug when I looked so I didn’t pay it much attention. Later that night I was awaken by a ROACH ON MY FACE. I told the front desk again, they admitted to knowing they have an issue with bugs. And refunded me a night. This is highly unacceptable

Experience was wonderful from the booking, check-in, during the stay and check-out. Each team member was very pleasant and friendly! Housekeeping staff were polite room was fresh and clean and my biggest thing I’m always concerned about when staying at hotels is the noise level during nighttime hours and I can say I experienced NONE during my stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. ☺️

This hotel isn’t the best, but it could’ve been worse. The bathrooms are definitely due for a remodel. The floor grout was dirty and chipping, and near the corner of the tub, it had a pinkish tint that suggested it doesn’t get a deep clean often. The carpet also looked a bit dingy. That said, our stay was peaceful overall. Housekeeping does come in daily to replace towels, which we weren’t aware of beforehand. Not a big issue, but it would’ve been nice to know. If you prefer privacy, just use the “Do Not Disturb” sign. I wouldn’t rule out staying here again IF they updated the rooms and did a more thorough bathroom cleaning.
