Comfort Inn & Suites York North

For the hotel - the physical hotel - I would rate it a 6.5 out of 10. It was clean enough, but the rooms had carpeting tiles that were clearly pulling away from the concrete flooring below, outlet covers were gross, and the overall feel was like there wasn't much care to go beyond the baseline. This is normal and I wouldn't fault the hotel or staff for aging infrastructure, dealing with tenants who do all sorts of things in their rooms, or being short staffed to get things completed. The main issue I had was checking out. There were no clear instructions on how to check out, and though I'm sure it's nothing complicated, clear instructions from a hotel I've never been to before, would be helpful. We arrived at the front desk at 10:40am. There was a sign that the front desk staff was helping

This is note I just emailed to Manager. My family stayed at your hotel (Comfort Inn & Suites York North in York) on Saturday, December 20, 2025 and we had reserved three days, planning to check out on December 23. I am writing this note to let you know of our experience. When we arrived at the hotel that night, the first thing I saw when I turned on the light and entered the bathroom was a roach running across the floor. Also when I picked up the hair dryer, roaches came out. As it was late, I decided to make the best of it. We went to the bathroom several times during the night and every time we turned on the light, roaches would scurry across the floor. This is a great hotel to stay at. The staff is helpful and friendly, especially Arletta Owens, General Manager. It was spotless and had a great breakfast. I would recommend it and stay here every time I'm in York.

I was part of a large tour bus group. Our room was in great condition and well taken care of. Breakfast was very, very good and the hotel service staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that the machines in the workout room were not in good condition. The noise from the highway did bother some in the group, but it didn’t bother me.

Comfort Inn & Suites York North is convenient to my work, to restaurants, and just off the Interstate. All of this pales in comparison to the top-notch staff. I tend to stay here several times a year and am always greeted with courtesy. Some even know me by name! It makes the entire hotel experience feel more like home.
