Comfort Inn & Suites Columbus North

The facility feels old and dirty. The door to the room barely would close and only had a deadbolt, no extra security features. When checking in I had to sign actual papers(two of them!) that said I couldn’t have a party in my room. What good hotel does that?? The air conditioner was loud and didn’t work well. The faucet in the bathroom was falling apart. The ironing board had some white liquid on it. The iron put black junk all over my shirt. There floor in the whole room felt dirty. The window shade didn’t actually cover the whole sides of the window, so anyone could look in. One of the lamps blinked when turned on. The only editable item on the breakfast were the waffles. The biscuits were hard as a rock and the gravy was runny and tasteless.

Great staff. Kind and helpful. Free continental breakfast is always a search criteria for me and I found this hotel, a little off the beaten path but worth the find. Tina does a great job as GM and Sharon was very quick with answers to my questions. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in town. Until next time, thank you for a wonderful experience.

I'm not pretending that this is a luxurious hotel, but I received excellent value for my $89 rate. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and overall, the room seemed like it had a relatively recent refresh. Seeing mixed reviews here and on the Choice Hotels website raised concerns, and there are enough poor recent reviews there to leave me wondering if I managed to be in the right room on the right night. The breakfast area was spacious, but I didn't get to enjoy any breakfast other than half a waffle due to a need to drive to another city and arrive there by late morning. Overall, I would have no problem staying here again, though I would hope that the proportion of positive reviews increases.

Since their remodeling from last year, all was very clean and comfortable for me. Also, others in our group were happy with their rooms. Clean and fresh. The breakfast bar was ok for me. Im not big on hotel breakfast. Needed a little more fresh fruit. Coffee was great! We like this location when visiting. So far, so good.

My room was clean, comfortable, and secure. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Along with all of the other breakfast amenities, the hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and waffles, served every day, is important for a working person on a business trip and a good incentive to stay here.
