Hidden Cove RV Park Campground

The owner cut a tree down hitting our camper, while we were out of town. Then informed us, he doesn't have insurance. He proceeded to get mad because we turned it into our insurance and they took over. He wanted us to let his body shop buddy fix it on site. He's refusing to pay our out of pocket expenses for stuff like tarps and a place to stay. I guess we're going to court to recover our expenses. I'm sure progressive will get their money. Nice quiet campground, plenty of shade, felt very safe. Not many amenities to speak of but a good place to base out of for work. Plenty of space to walk or exercise the dog on the grounds out back.

I stayed from July of 2019 through November of 2020 with my wife and 2 dogs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and had a great spot on the River. Plenty of squirrels for my dogs to watch out the windows and I surprisingly never saw any water moccasins. Plenty of turtles and birds though. The campground is kept clean and maintained throughout the year. Most of the folks seem to be permanent residents and all are respectful and helpful. Good fishing in the creek and I saw multiple kayakers floating down as well. Tornado Shelter on site was a little small but it makes you feel better knowing it’s there during the MS storm season.

Stayed for 4 days (but paid for a week) in one of the campers he rents out. Paid a $250 deposit plus the $400 to stay for the week and was supposed to get the $250 back at departure. We ended up leaving early because the water wasn’t hot and we couldn’t take a hot shower after work or wash dishes. We didn’t request a refund for the remaining days we didn’t stay, only that we get our deposit back. Owner has repeatedly refused to give us our deposit back and hangs up the phone every time we call now our number is blocked. Very unprofessional and honestly down right theft.

Such a peaceful and beautiful park! Loved being on the water and all the shade trees!
