Cocoa Beach Suites Hotel

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing due to multiple service and management failures. According to the hotel website, check-in starts at 4:00 PM. We arrived at 5:30 PM, already 1.5 hours after the official check-in time, and were informed that our room was not ready. The front desk staff told us it would be ready in 30 minutes. We returned at 6:05 PM, and once again the room was still not ready. At that point, it had been over two hours past check-in time. We had been traveling for more than 12 hours and simply wanted to rest and take a shower. The explanation given was that the hotel had many guests the night before and the cleaning staff could not keep up. This is an internal operational issue and should not be the guest’s responsibility. We were just wanting a room for the night prior to our cruise. We figured with no amenities the rooms would be nice, but it turns out the beds are super hard and uncomfortable. Our AC unit in the bedroom did not operate so we had to move to the couch in the living area. We woke with aches and pains. The rooms are spacious, but we will not be staying here again. The only saving grace was the nighttime lobby attended. He was super friendly and helpful.

Although the rooms are a nice size, they desperately need an update. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable we ended up moving to the pull out couch which was more comfortable if you can believe it. My husband said he slept on softer rocks in the military. AC didn’t work in the bedroom. We found the comforter in a drawer when we were leaving. And no hair dryers. The people working there were very nice and helpful though.

Best way to put it.... this place is in rough shape, to say the least. The pictures on their website do not represent the state of the hotel. We booked one night ahead of a cruise. The lady at the front desk was nice enough. She was able to get us checked in a bit early, and helped to arrange a shuttle to the cruise the next day. As we got to our room, you could smell that someone had smoked on the floor, but not necessarily in our room. Inside the room... the carpet was dirty and worn. The beds seemed clean but the mattresses were obviously very dated. The bathroom was relatively clean, but paint was chipping and the shower handle was just basically falling off. We pulled a comforter out of the drawer and it clearly had not been washed. As always, you get what you pay for. Do not
