Customer Reviews
The little cabin managed by Castlewood is super cute, clean, and well-appointed! Even though the cabin is right next to the road, the road noise level was equivalent to staying in a hotel room. It’s also located within walking distance of a few restaurants and coffee shops! We ended up getting snowed in at this sweet little cabin for 3 days. The kitchen is well-stocked with lovely dishes, pots, pans, and everything else you need when cooking away from home. We prepared several delicious meals together while we watched the snow come down! The cabin has so much natural light and the decor promotes a relaxed vibe. The master bedroom has an extremely comfortable king sized bed with its own private entrance to the bathroom. The second bedroom also contains an extremely comfortable bunk bed.
I had the chance to stay here last weekend and was pleasantly surprized. Maggie Valley often feels overly commercial, but this place was quite charming. The front office staff was friendly and informative. We asked about good places to eat and were given a bunch of staff favorites, and the one we ate as was awesome (Go checkout Pop's when you stay here.) The room had recently been updated; the shower was amazing, and the room decor was super fun. I've never stayed in a hotel with potted plants before! It was such a homey touch. Check in and out was super smooth, the beds were clean and comfy, and the staff was awesome!
I’m not sure how this place has such good reviews, it’s misleading. We booked this place at last minute because we were supposed to be camping but it was storming and we didnt feel safe at the campground. We had our dog and they charged us by how much she weighed, not a standard pet fee like most hotels have. Room 104 smells like pee and mold, you can smell the pee before you even open the door. there is a large obvious stain on the ceiling that appears to be an old leak from upstairs. The pillows are hard and flat but the bed was at least clean and soft. I’m glad we only booked for one night. I feel like we paid too much for our room and there’s no way I’d stay here again.
I very much enjoyed my stay here. Frankie the property host and guest service manager was very kind, friendly and accommodating. Made me feel right at home. They've been remodeling and My room was beautiful with modern decor but very cozy. The bed was more than comfortable. I slept like a baby. I don't have a negative thing to say about my stay here. When I return I will be booking a room here and I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for an affordable, clean and comfortable place to stay.
Price brought us in but the rooms were clean, very well appointed and updated, bathroom looked all new. It's on the main drag in Maggie Valley, close to everything. Water is good tasting and hot water was abundant. Room is tight for four, but beds were above average.
