Castle Rock Lakefront Campark

Stunning campground with incredible lake views! I stayed here overnight for work and was thoroughly impressed. The facilities were excellent: spotless showers with reliable hot water, clean bathrooms and port-a-potties, a great rec room, convenient laundry, and even a lovely beach. Plus, it offers easy access to everything in the area. Highly recommend – I'll definitely be back!

Some of the best views you can get. Be prepared for a difficult climb up the stairs. It's good for ya. Gets the blood pumping. The hike down isn't so bad. The views are worth it. It took me a second to get comfortable being so high up. I'm really glad I went up.

I'm afraid I was shocked That this kind of railroading could happen these days at what seemed to be a well received park.We made reservations sight unseen from the Good Sam book recommendation for 6/14/2019 for 4 days at the Castle Rock Park in St Ignace. I felt comfortable doing this as we have had 100% satisfaction so far on this trip. We recently retired and have decided to set foot in the 50 we haven't made yet in life. I will have to say that it rained that day so the park was not at it's best. The conditions were muddy, cold, and miserable. I made the mistake of not looking at the sight before agreeing to stay,(not sure this is an issue as I was probably sunk with this owner when I gave a credit card with the reservation.) Like most campgrounds, very small lots. Location is good. Nothing spectacular, except a small area of a water inlet to wade out in.

Nice campground on Lake Huron. It over looks Mackinaw Island. Very very nice staff!!
