Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa

Very nice experience. Arrived a bit early, the front desk gentleman was very accomodating. Vivian was also very friendly, always smiling, and a great help on check out. Rooms were very clean, tidy, beds made, ample towels, friendly staffing. Halls and floor were very quiet. Didnt hear housekeeping staff doing their daily things. Overall, would definitely stay here again. Easy walking distance to lost of restaurants, Market St, shopping.

Was okay, but felt like a mid-tier hotel (e.g. more similar to the Hampton Inn than what I'd expect from Canopy). Rooms were smaller than expected, and everything felt quite worn/bashed up (see phoots for some examples - very minor, but the whole room feels bashed up like this, door handles wobbly etc). Room design also wasn't great - there's no good desk/chair to do work on, or put down clothes on etc. And the one floating table that is available is this awkward circular table that blocks you from easily getting into bed. I had two rooms both in similar condition, so I don't think it was just my room. Service was eh as well. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk and I had to wait ~5/10 minutes to start checking in. Similarly when I tried to go for breakfast there didn't see

Lovely stay, clean living and social spaces, comfy large beds and pillows. Rooftop restaurant and bar kinda on the pricey side but has a beautiful view of the city. This hotel is also convientantly located lots of museums, public transit, bar/restaurants, retail shopping and attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is good as close to the conference venue. The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast included $ 30 credit only but the breakfast in the rooftop restaurant are good. Just when you check out you need to double check did they count the credit and did they wrongly charge the original price of the breakfast. The staff are helpful but just feel disappointed I need to work extra to email the hotel to get back the refund.

Excellent visit at this convenient location. While the king-bed room was small, we were very comfortable and enjoyed the smart layout of the room. Easy access to the connected café and the rooftop lounge (great views) was a bonus. We definitely will return on future visits. Vivian at the front desk was attentive and helpful.
