Candlewood Suites Jacksonville, an IHG Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. The room was spacious, Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean and organized. location was also very convenient, close to restaurants and shopping areas, which made it easy to explore without having to travel far. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

This was a terrible stay. I expected more from the candlewood name. They have full time live in units where the people can not qualify for a lease. This not a good environment. The room was dirty. We mopped the floor 3 times once we got there. The water was black! They do not clean the floors. I can assure you that. The kitchen sink disposal was not working and sink was backing up turns out they knew about this because they had turned off the kitchen breakers. The walls were repaired with the wrong paint color which was so obvious that they person painting should have gone back with the right color. The unit above us had a water leak and the paint bubbled up on the way. They caulked the toilet with a full tube of caulking. Then top of all that the smell of weed was so strong in the hallw

The Candlewood Suites is perfect for when you need a few nights in a hotel but not a lot of amenities. it is a clean room, with a small kitchen and polite front desk staff. If you want to cook a few meals in, you will have a small cook top, pots/pans, and a microwave oven. There is also a charcoal grill. I usually bring some paper plates, paper bowl, and plastic utensils for easy clean up. I also recommend bringing a spatula and large spoon for stirring/cooking. Pots and pans are provided and are good quality.

I enjoyed my stay all the staff are very friendly, the room was pretty big with a kitchen and fully stocked plates, cups, silverware even pots and pans to cook on..they also have a cupboard that u can borrow a blender, crockpot,waffle maker etc. from.. They also have free laundry but the only drawback with that was only 1 of the 3 dryers worked and 2 of the 3 washers worked. It's in a great location with plenty of restaurants, Walmart, dollar tree plus many more within walking distance. They also allow pets and don't discriminate against the size or breed. I Definitely recommend this hotel if u want good value for your money.

Compared to this January they stepped up a lot, renovations and new floor totally changed the atmosphere! Looks like a fresh new hotel, I guess the new manager is really good!
