Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown - Seaport

Had a really nice stay at the Cambria. It’s a bit farther from the downtown area, but the prices are much more reasonable than many other Boston hotels, and getting around was still easy thanks to the hotel being right next to the Red Line subway station. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet — perfect after long days out. There isn’t a restaurant located directly in the hotel, which is a small downside, but it honestly wasn’t an issue thanks to how helpful the staff was with nearby food and dining recommendations. What stood out most was the front desk staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, even during what looked like very busy moments. Location is good for traveling to the train station . Had issues with AC unit so the entire room was stuffy for three days, no fan in the bathroom either as far as we could tell. Maintenance walked into our room not five minutes after checking in without knocking, just as surprised to see us as we were to see him. Room keys expired before we even checked out and had to have new ones made. People at the front desk were nice though. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Hotel tries very hard to be a high class aesthetic with little to actually offer.

Overall we had a fantastic stay at the Cambria. It’s location next to the subway was top notch. Hotel was clean and rooms were serviced well. Clean towels and straightened daily. Space on the rooms and size of the bathrooms were great. Christmas decorations added to the ambiance. Negatives were the the breakfast. It was only offered 7-9am and was lacking in protein and diversity. The coffee making process was slow using cups and a mini Keurig. The hotel staff, minus one night staff member Sonny, were fantastic. Had an issue with a neighbor in the hotel that the night staff would not address (tv volume was extremely loud and preventing sleep) and was very dismissive about and rude in our conversations. I found the rooms nice and quite comfortable, but the hotel overall seemed understaffed and appeared to have some deferred maintenance. The elevators made loud clunking noises and got stuck once. There was a beautiful restaurant and bar that wasn’t open at all, and the continental breakfast was pointless aside from coffee. The mats in the gym shed blue flakes everywhere, and machines weren’t properly secured and panels for some of them were leaning on walls. It was overall a fine stay, but it was clear that the hotel was having some issues.

It is a great place to stay. The hotel is modern, clean, and well designed, with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. The location is convenient, making it easy to get around the city and access public transportation. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the stay, which made check-in and check-out smooth. The amenities and overall atmosphere feel upscale yet relaxed. I had a pleasant and comfortable experience and would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Boston.
