Budget Inn

New owners from Sept 4, 2025. They have cleaned the carpets, painted, & ensured everything is clean, tidy, & safe. It is an old motor inn, so no usb, etc charging outlets, so bring your own. But very charming. Bed & pillows comfy. Fridge & microwave work. Shower hot & good pressure. We booked one night but stayed two as we were so exhausted & it was great to just chill out & sleep. The owners were happy to allow us the same room for the same price. If they continue to keep it clean, maintained, & keep out riffraff, they will have a nice business for years just from the good reviews & word of mouth. Just great! Wish all budget motels were this friendly, clean, & safe feeling. (Yes, you can hear the train, but it isn't horrible.)

The walls are paper thin in this Place & you can hear every single thing the neighbors Do to your room next door or if you have a 2nd floor room you can hear every single thing the neighbors below you do. I was there 2 mos. & not ONE night of a peaceful sleep. It was scary the type of patrons that rent long term there. Constant constant slamming of doors, thumping of walls, & occasional shouting & fighting in the parking lot. The family that runs the Motel work hard at trying to keep up w/ everything but it was a horrifying experience to say the least. Such a lack of respect at Americas' cheaper Motels. An absolute lack of respect for being peaceful nowadays when visiting motels like this. Unbelievable...

I booked a double queen room for our children as Trip Advisor's rating seemed better among the low cost hotels in Gallup. Upon arrival, they felt uncomfortable about the excessive stains on the mattress / box spring and broken furnishings to name a few issues. Also, they were given toilet paper at the front desk??? The front desk lady said it was booked the evening before, so no refunds, only a room change. This is hotel-first, customer-last practice! |Apparently there is only 5 - 10 minutes to register your complaint before you're stuck in your first room! |The second room seemed cleaner with newer mattresses/box springs and furnishings not broken.

My experience had budget. It was great. Good customer service with a great price and the rooms pretty big. For the price, it is definitely worth the stay.
