The “destination fee” is out of control. When you compare rooms and prices it does not account for the hidden destination fee you are charged when you check in or comparing pricing to other hotels. For personal travelers - let’s say you bring your family and get two room for three nights - that’s $210 in extra fees. Also, it’s taxed. They tax you on something you don’t want or need at 16%. A regular room tax is about 5%. For a business trip, let’s say you have a $400 night allowance and you look at the Marriott at $390. You’ll unknowingly go over your per diem. For this particular property it’s $35 per night. That you are paying (many people think it is a city tax - it’s not). You pay $35 per room per day extra. You get, wait for it, $20 in a beverage credit. Where did the other $15 go

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just steps from Trinity Church, the Public Library, and within easy reach of Boston Common. There’s a supermarket (Star Market) right in front of the hotel, and a small commercial center nearby, making it convenient for shopping or grabbing essentials. The river is also close, so MIT is easily accessible on the other side. The hotel itself is very comfortable, with a restaurant and plenty of services. They even provide a microwave if you want to warm up food. The bathroom was a highlight very spacious, making morning showers a pleasure. Rooms come with coffee machines and a fridge large enough to store food or drinks. The views from our room were excellent, overlooking the Public Library and Trinity Church. Overall, a very convenient and well-equipped

Hotel staffs are professional. Receptionist presented a warm welcome while receiving us. They responded our enquiry swiftly. Housekeeper are very attentive, too. Facility in room was kept in good condition. Air conditioning in room was good and running quietly. All in all, we are satisfied with the room standard and service provided by staff.

The location is wonderful; accessible to so much, especially with Uber readily available. The last time we were here, about a year before, we noted that the mattress needed replacement. Since then, a whole lot has been replaced. The rooms have been thoroughly refurbished; they look good. The carpeting is fresh. The mattress was excellent. The service could not have been better. We were able to get a corner room on the 35th floor, offering a million-dollar view of Boston. Marriott does it right!

The hotel is overall clean, well-maintained, and suitable for large conferences. I stayed here for an annual event, and the experience was generally positive. My room was clean, and the staff were helpful.||However, I did encounter an issue with the hot water—at one point, it stopped working entirely. The hotel promptly sent a technician who fixed it, but the problem returned the very next morning. Unfortunately, I had to shower and shave in cold water before an early business meeting, which was quite inconvenient. The hotel did offer compensatory points, which I appreciated.||One ongoing frustration I have with prestigious hotels like this one is the mismatch between high room rates and the low-quality in-room amenities. Items such as the coffee and toilet paper feel noticeably cheap, whi
