Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites

I've been staying at this hotel for several years now, and each visit has always been wonderful. The rooms are consistently clean and tidy, and the beds are so comfortable and cozy. The main unit does a great job of keeping the room cool, just the way we like it. The breakfast is always plentiful and delicious! There's also an awesome swimming pool and a nice exercise area to enjoy. In our room, we noticed some cracks and small on the wall in the bathroom, but it didn't affect our stay at all. The showers can be a bit tricky—adjusting the temperature sometimes causes a sudden jump in hot or cold water. The coffee machine during breakfast isn't the best, but overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. I’m definitely planning to come back next year. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!

This is such a wonderful hotel. The people couldn't be nicer. So accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we got into the room when we needed to. Breakfast was just amazing. Such a huge selection! Room was so pretty and so clean. AND it was huge! Our dogs were welcomed and they made it clear that the WHOLE hotel was pet friendly! Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

Positive: It was perfect for what we needed; close to the university, quiet, clean, and had a good continental breakfast. Negative: The washer/dryer didn?t work. The washer didn?t even attempt to fill with water but because they are ?use at your own risk? they are not really managed by the hotel staff. Also, if you get a later start your room is not cleaned that day.

It was 11:35am January 24 2026, One of us had already started taking our bags out to the car while the other was finishing up a shower. Few minutes later we where finishing up a upload to social media before we hit the road and we heard one the maids say "are they done yet" and other maid replied "no they are not, they are just taking their sweet time", check out states we have until 12pm to check out and we didnt get back to the hotel until 5am. So yes we took our sweet time to get some sleep and get ready for our 12 hour trip ahead of us. I didnt appreciate the fact that it felt like we had been rushed out of our stay that we paid for. 2 minutes before we left I looked out the door peep hole to see one of the maids was sitting next to her cleaning cart in front of our door as if she coul

Had the pleasure to visit this location do to a Football recruiting event. Arrived early and the staff was so pleasant and helpful. They were able to assist and make our stay wonderful. "Kari" was so polite and very informative. "Jolene" made our day and was very professional. These 2 along with the breakfast staff are hard to find and keep in today's world of customer service. I would give a 6 star if able due to their assistance for our stay. I would recommend this location to anybody new visiting the Ames area and attending the ISU football facilities.. FYI, if your attending the game- transportation to the game is easy with multiple providers. Transportation after is difficult and a 1.5 mile hike back to hotel.. Breakfast they provide is wonderful. Clean rooms and building..
