Best Western Mountainbrook Inn

So they charged me a $25 nonrefundable pet deposit. In addition to the pet deposit I noticed a $80 charge for 2 soiled(not stained) towels and soiled (not stained) bed sheets. The soiled towels were the ones that goes on the floor when stepping out of the shower. My dog jumped on the bed after he had been outside and left several paw prints. These paw prints and soiled towels will easily wash in the machine. If they have to wash bed linens and towels between guest stays anyway, why was I charged the additional cleaning fee on top on the $25. The room and hotel were great. The breakfast had extremely poor quality food and was nasty. I hope the $80 charge makes Best Western happy because I'll never stay there again. Stayed for 2 nights while skiing at Cataloochee. Room was not ready when we arrived....we were early...lol They did have it ready by the scheduled time of 3:00 pm, barely. Room was clean, with all amenities as advertised. Refrigerator does not have a freezer area. Phone did not work, but was fixed right away. Hair dryer did not work, but they brought us another right away. Reached for a Kleenex, and the chrome cover fell off. Hot tub was out of service. Never found the "designated smoking area". Was told to smoke anywhere, at least 8 feet from the building. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choices, and the dining area was kept clean between use. Staff was very personable, and willing to help as needed. Understanding this is not a 4 or 5 star facility, however, maintenance needs a little atten

The staff was EXCELLENT. Right after checking in, I tried to open the fridge to store my diabetic meds. The door was stuck. When I got it open, it came with a little snowfall. The entire freezer compartment was packed with frost. Of course, the bottom half was warm. I called the front desk & they sent 2 gentleman up right away. Once they saw the issue, they moved me to a new room right away!||Room was good, a little worn, but clean and comfortable.||The free breakfasts were great. Lot of variety. Eggs with cheese (think mini cheese omelet), sausage, toadt, biscuits, gravy, make-your-own waffles station (choose 1-4 mini waffles). Cereal with milk, oatmeal, mini muffins, fresh fruits, coffee & juices. Only thing unavailable was the fresh yogurt station, but plenty to choose.|| I would stay h

Positive: Location.Maggie valley is beautiful! Negative: Pool kind of dirty. Old hotel ..Hot tub pictured but it's out of order and u can tell has been broke for a looong time! False advertising. They should take down th pics

Stayed for 2 nights in October. My second floor room was really nice and very clean. Good location in Maggie Valley right next to a sports bar with good food. Staff at front desk very friendly and helpful. This is where I will stay when I get back to Maggie Valley.
