Best Western Marina State Beach

Please take time to read these reviews and do not ignore the bad ones!! We recently stayed at this Best Western and had a very disappointing experience. ( they also own the hotel right next-door and this review I would assume apply as well considering how bad the staff is. ) On our first night, our neighboring room was extremely loud and explicit well past 10 PM and continued almost all night. We understand it was Valentine’s Day, but quiet hours still apply. We contacted management three separate times and were told they would address it. However, nothing changed. Eventually, we had to handle the situation ourselves and ask the neighbors to quiet down, which should not have been our responsibility as paying guests. We really enjoyed our day. The location was perfect. The weather was awesome. Also, the rooms were really in good shape. The Netflix and YouTube was add on. We really love watching them and enjoying the comfy bed. We love the free breakfast that was offered. The staff was really good. The service that is provided every day of housekeepers were awesome. We never had to ask for anything everything was provided on time.

Positive: "" Negative: The on-line pictures of the location are deceiving. It's not "right across the street" from the beach. You cant see the ocean from the hotel due to the dunes. With two young kids the distance to the actual beach was too far to walk.

Receptionist left before the next shift arrived. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes with absolutely no one there. The room key machine wasn’t working, it took 3 tries to fix the problem. I left for 2 hours to eat and hoped the room key issue would be resolved by the time I returned. I was able to get into my room but then the television and cable didn’t work. It’s a great location, there was just a ton of hiccups throughout my experience staying here.

It was an okay stay. Its in a middle experience overall. We had double queen bed room. The room is clean, with microwave with large TV and has a small ref. It also has desk if you need to work while staying here. They dont require a security deposit as far as I’m aware of. The thing is the shower curtain is not long enough to cover the floor, so water was leaking. That will be not the customer fault. We dont complain as we’re just staying one night. This also include continental breakfast from 6am-9am. It is also like a 10min walk to the Marina State Beach which is my fave.
