Best Western Atlanta Cumberland/Galleria Hotel

I debated whether to write this review because I know my honesty. However, I must warn anyone considering this venue, especially brides and event hosts to seek a better option. I had a wedding reception here, and the managers or owners assured me everything would be set up, including table covers for my husband's and my reception, so I only needed to bring decorations. Instead, I arrived to find nothing prepared—no setup, no tablecloths—and the venue reeked of sewage. They had no tablecloths at all, and nothing was arranged as promised. The staff member on duty had to purchase tablecloths for us. I appreciate the effort of the employees who tried their best, but the management or owner responsible is utterly unreasonable. The beds are more comfortable than the Marriott! We enjoyed our stay! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was great(fresh waffles, sausage, eggs, bagels, toast with butter and cream cheese, 24 hour coffee, tea and hot water), and the proprietors were helpful. It is close to Highway 285 North and South, and there are several businesses of all types close by. It may not be luxurious, but it was certainky worth the cost and provided great value. I would definitely stay again!

I filed a complaint immediately. Never received a follow up. I wanted to check out soon as I saw the rooms. The room gives you old motel vibes. The King bed/mattress is absolute trash. You can feel the springs in the mattress. Its extremely hard, thin, and you can tell its old and worn. The rooms smells like mildew and cleaning solution. Had to buy air freshener and fabreeze. The bathroom door in 413 barely wants to close. You have to lift and add force.  The elevator is old and very small. The elevator inspection card is expired. Sketchy people hanging around at night. This was a hard review. I’ve been coming to this hotel for 4 years now, because the parking lot allows me to park my semi. At the time Indian people ran it. Love the location, never had an issue with the rooms, if there was an issue, quick to respond and fix. Now that it has changed management, I feel like it’s going down the drain. The customer service sucks. Too much going on at the front desk among employees when I checked in. Upon check out, loud conversation coming from the office, more so gossip. Not sure if when this management took over, and trying to get in the swing of things. But I don’t want to see this location become one of those places. I’ll give it another shot in a few weeks, but for right now, very disappointing.

Despite having to take my family to GA from NC for a funeral, everyone was in good spirits. But then we arrived at what we thought was a Best Western. My wife booked 3 rooms, all we're on the same floor. We were excited to get some much needed rest after shopping at the Cumberland mall. The lobby was clean, just about what you'd expect from a Best Western, we frequently stay at BW hotels. Its one of our "go to's". Everything was fine until we reached the elevator. We had to press the down button to go up to the 2nd floor, my wife and I's room was not done, it was about 6pm. Our kids room smelled heavily of black and mild smoke, my mother-in-law dealt with no hot water and a stopped up toilet ( 2 days, we stayed for 2 days).
