Bayview Motel

We stayed here on a Thursday night for $89.72 for the 1 night. The hotel bathroom leaves a lot to be desired; particularly the shower. The water took forever to begin to warm up and just never really got past warm. We also had issues with the remote. Clearly there are detailed directions but following them did not result in the TV working. We finally with enough on and off got the darn TV working. The room itself was spacious and had the standard amenities. It is nice that you get to park just outside your motel room door as well as to have two chairs to enjoy the outdoors. The location is lit up well at night and during the day has an amazing view of the lake.

Absolutely beautiful. 70s Rustic vibes and amazing views! With hard wood walls and old elements you have to know about to appreciate. Shows the best parts of old Michigan. It was the best birthday ever seeing the sunrise from room 9. Amanda the manager is just absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to be back. Oh and don’t forget the lake access. That’s definitely a bonus. And the stars at night are phenomenal.

Quite a disappointment. |Overcharged for a room that was deteriorating, needed repairs, and TV was difficult to use. Amenities missing (coffee cups). Air conditioner only had one working fan speed. Changed $220, expected better. Also, entrance has a huge drop-off. Be careful if your car has low clearance.

Stopped overnight while traveling, wanted to be by the water without spending $400. Chose this place for the price but unfortunately it wasn't even close to being worth it. Arrived at 4:45, (front desk lady was nice) got the keys, opened the door and the room had not been cleaned. We left to get dinner til room was done. We only had a half roll of tp and no more. Stains on the wall. Furniture missing handle. Beach looked pretty but was covered in goose poop and smelled as such. Won't stay here again.

We just needed a place to crash in the middle of our 13 hour drive. I checked the reviews and it seemed like this would be a great spot, but oh wow. When we checked into our room and checked the beds, there were stains which put us off a bit, then looking again there were hairs - lots of them - as well as dirt and sand. It was clear the sheets hadn't been changed after the previous people checked out. We found someone to help (the person working the front desk was no longer around) and he worked quickly to change the sheets, but was going to leave the blankets. We opted to just sleep with the sheets. He seemed apologetic and like he was trying his best, but also it seemed he was all alone trying to do a lot.
