Bayside Inn

I stayed here for two nights while performing at the Kingston Kitchen nearby. It is a no frills hotel and filled the bill. It is not modern, but is OK. The TV was quite a challenge but the desk clerk guided me on what to do. The desk is only open during the day so at night you are on your own. I think it was clean and that is a plus. There appeared to be a lot of occupancy but the noise did not affect my sleep. I notice that they put a table and chairs in front of the AC as it blow out. This was good and did not bother me at all. I believe that this is the best place in St. Ignace and has some nice lake views.

No good was given #20 to stay in and just before bed we found bed bugs grossed us out. We did not contact the front desk because we didn't want another room after spotting them. We went and rent a room at cabins of Mackinac for less and way cleaner. Stopped back the next morning to let them know. the front desk clerk apologized and that was it. Not even a partial refund. Do not recommend

Both women at the front desk on 9/13 and 9/14 were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond, and I have never felt such great hospitality while staying at a hotel as I have here. If the owner is reading this, please give them a raise. They deserve one! Will definitely visit again.

Basic motel. No services. A place to sleep. The motel appears to be making an attempt to keep things in good repair, it it is an older property and the bathrooms and plumbing, in particular, need significant upgrades. But, if you're just looking for a place to overnight at a fair price, this place fits the bill.

The hotel looks fine from the outside, but the inside is a big letdown. The room was just okay, but the AC didn’t work properly, making it very humid and uncomfortable. The bathroom flush was extremely loud, and there was no breakfast provided. Paying $250 for this is way too much the value just isn’t there. Overall, a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it even for a single night.
